Large Cavalry Bag

This bag is a modern interpretation on the US cavalry bag. The inspiration was a saddle bag used by the soldiers in the American Civil War. Our bag has been constructed from two main elements and has two leather straps that loop through the main flap for a very robust and secure closure using solid brass buckles. It also has a padded rear section for a full-size laptop. The design incorporates a foam layer to retain the bag’s unique shape and has two outer and two inner YKK zipped pockets for stowing valuables. All the pockets are accessed through slashed leather openings. We avoid using patch pockets on our lining fabrics. All pockets are set inside the inner or outer linings. Our bags are typically made with individually selected printed Java kitenge linings. The buckles, spring clips and other brass-ware are made by local artisans from recycled brass.
